Today in the fog I wandered lonely as a cloud, though I keep in mind that even William didn’t walk alone. The most famous solitary walk in British poetry was inspired by a walk with his sister, Dorothy, and the resulting entry in her journal.
I enjoy a solitary walk, but my true passion as an artist is walking together. In my distance exchange with Chris for Sunrise Walk 2, I was able to combine both: though I was physically alone, mentally and emotionally we were walking together.
Tomorrow someone will join me in person for the first time. Then I can truly wander Northampton lonely as a cloud, i.e. with a companion.
